Goodness Me Box December

Hello and welcome back, today I wanted to share with you some photos of my December Goodness Me Box - if you not sure what I'm talking about read HERE first!
I am particularly impressed with this months as it has stuff I know I like and have used, stuff that I like the look of and completely new things I'm excited to try!

This is the one that I've never heard of before! It looks like it will be a great addition to my cooking - it has a recipe on the recipe card for savoury balls which surprised me as I thought it was going to be like an oats type of thing!

Love this company and the fact that there is NO additives to their spreads - the hazelnut one is my favourite of theirs but I'm keen to try this one out, the sesame I think will either be amazing or slightly random - I'll have to report back!

Love this! A month or two back I got a raspberry and chis one of these and I love it! Mango and Passionfruit are my favourite fruits so I know this is going to go down a treat - and again there is no funny stuff added - bonus!

Ahhh coconut powder?! YES please! I always drink coconut water so if this tastes amazing I am going to be one happy camper! Most refreshing thing to drink after a workout!

Never seen or heard of this but I cant go past a good looking health bar - I always keep a few stashed in my handbag for those starving moments!

ahhhh my favourite thing to add to salads - this mini size is great too as I can pack it and add to lunches and not have to worry about spillage or sogginess!

Tea, glorious tea! I am a coffee addict but I do love a good cuppa! I've already had the vitality one and can confirm it is good! It kept my 3pm snack attack at bay so that's a win in my book! I'm yet to try the ginger one but I think this at night may go down a treat.
~
And there we have it! That's the sort of things you can expect in a Goodness me box if your considering getting one - I love it!
I may do some individual reviews on things if I absolutely think you should rush out and find it!

Getaway Part Two

Hello and welcome back!
Here I am today with part two of my getaway! If you have no clue what I'm on about read THIS first!
~
So we started our Saturday with a breakfast recommendation at the Quarterdeck. This place was funky, best way I can describe it would be if the TV show Friends was by the ocean it would be in this café!

Everything was a bit miss matched but all went together somehow. The owner was super friendly, he collects Hawaiian Shirts and wears a different one each day.

The coffee got a thumbs up from me, and the mocha was top notch for the BF, so much so that we ordered seconds as takeaway to leave with!

He had Eggs Benedict and said they were deelish

I had Banana bread with a ricotta spread and local honey - the side of tomato was from Chris's plate, he is not a tomato lover (I know, strange fella!)

After our leisurely breakfast, we grabbed our takeaway coffees and headed for a drive to Tilba, perhaps THE cutest little town. The scenery was just amazing; we both kept saying that we felt like we were in Ireland or something, so green and lush with rolling hills and amazing trees.
~
We stopped in Tilba to get some creamed honey for Mum at the cheese factory and then strolled up and down the main street. My Dad is the biggest sweet tooth so we got him some lollies from this gorgeous old school lolly shop.

This is the petrol station.... I mean.... how dang cute!

Then there was the entire shop dedicated to tea.

This photo cracks me up too much, such a goof. He looks like Woody out of Toy Story to me for some reason!

I then proceed to not take any more photos on my big girl camera for the rest of the day, however we did do a lot! Here are a few from my mobile.
~
We headed out to play golf!

Chris is a big golfer so it was fun to go and play with him, this golf course was absolutely beautiful too - right by the ocean, and one of the holes you have to hit it over the ocean to the other side of the cliff!

Collared Shirt - Lee
Long Sleeved Top: Nike

This was the hole you had to hit over the water! Chris did really well! I may have hit around it lol. Surprisingly I found that I wasn't shocking at golf, its quite fun to wack a ball and watch it fly through the air! I would recommend as a fun date with a guy if you've never done it before.

After 18 holes and like 4 hours later we finished up and headed back to our hotel to refresh and figure out what to do for dinner. We ended up going to a Thai place in the centre; it was yummy but not overly amazing so I wont say which one it was. A nice night out though.
~
The next day it was time to head home, we took the long way along the ocean and stopped by my favourite café on the coast to have the most epic chicken burger - biggest treat for me I love it! I have been known to take day trips to the coast for this burger haha. And of course I forgot to document it, twas just to excited!
We then had a bit of a chill at the beach pictured below, I decided to be nuts and go swimming in the water! It was FREEZING lol but such a great way to re-set and feel refreshed.

It then poured down in rain so we started the drive home. I always love the drive to the coast and really don't like the drive home. Must be something about getting further away from the beach. Im a beach girl at heart trapped in a city that doesn't have one .... sob sob.
~
Anywho, we had a great little getaway, sometimes its just the thing needed to have a step out of your home town, regular routine and just relax and revive yourself!
~
I hope you enjoyed!!

Oat Smoothie Breakfast Bowl

Good Morning, or Evening or Afternoon - hello to wherever you may be whilst reading this! How are you?
~
Today I wanted to share with you a breakfast I created last weekend that was just too good to not share! As soon as I poured it into the bowl I thought 'hmm maybe I should snap a pic of this in case it tastes as good as it looks' and alas - it did!
~
Oat Smoothie Breakfast Bowl

Ingredients
BLEND
- 1/4 cup of Oats
- Frozen Banana
- 1/2 cup of Almond Milk
- Scoop of  Perfect Fit Protein - LINK!
- dash of Vanilla Paste

TOP
- sprinkle of oven roasted Almond Slivers
- half a grated Apple
- tablespoon of Maple Syrup

Ahhhh yum, let me know if you make this and what you think! This is super filling because of the oats, creamy with the banana, great for post workout with the protein and satisfies the sweet spot with the maple.
See you soon!

Getaway Part One

Hello there and welcome back!
Last weekend I was lucky enough to go away on a little 3 day getaway with the boyfriend. This was gifted to us by my parents (thanks Mum and Dad!) for helping out during a tough time earlier in the year.
~
A few people mentioned that they would like to read about it on my blog and as I am taking the photos for myself anyway so I thought I would share it with you all too!
~

We went to Narooma which is about a 3 hour drive from Canberra with very pretty scenery along the way.

hehe there is a grass growing company here that have the funniest signs.

Ahhhh Clyde mountain - aka a scary road! This winds through a mountain with some pretty hectic bends and turns

Government bend being one of them - this bend you completely turn around on yourself!

I find this part of the drive incredibly scary! And Chris loves it so he flys along whilst I grip my seat and squeeze my eyes shut for most of it!!!

One of my most favourite things on any trip is getting to drive through the national parks - I always wind the windows down and take long deep breaths of the fresh air. Nothing better than the smell of a Forrest, the cold wind hitting your face until it feels a bit numb and that feeling of the fresh air just doing you so much good!

We arrived at our destination and the first thing I got excited about was the shower haha! Look at it tho! Amazing.

Here is a little snap of part of the room, we stayed at the Amooran Oceanside Apartments and Motel btw - really enjoyed it, the room was lovely and well equipped, the bed was super comfy, the view was beautiful and the staff were great.

The view from our balcony!

Later that afternoon we headed to Mystery Bay to check out the beach there and found a private beach!!!!

To get to it we climbed down that lol

Gosh I just love the beach and the ocean, it is always so beautiful! There is something that is so calming to me whenever I'm at the beach, its like my entire body just goes 'ahhhhh' everything is a-ok

I then proceeded to jump around like a loony tune for the fun of it lol

Magazines on the beach - my favourite

Later that evening we headed down to the water to go for a walk

Hehe. I set the camera up on a rock and kept running over to Chris and saying 'quick quick - smile!' We got the giggles

We saw a Stingray!!! This is what killed Steve Erwin! Big fella floating through the water.
~
I have so many pics I thought I should break it up into two posts, so stay tuned!
Let me know if you liked this post though and if these lifestyle posts are enjoyable for you to read!
